Our Built Better Pedigree
Wonder why we say we’re built better? Our products are created by designers who have outfitted some of the toughest athletes and Olympians on Earth, have equipment used by athletes every day in fields, arenas, and stadiums, and even enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Here are just a few examples of how that experience has trickled into our gear.
PRO GRADE MATERIALS
We use 420D Oxford Nylon, a tough, tightly woven textile trusted for its excellent abrasion resistance in hockey pants, shells, and gloves.
All our binding tape is double-folded for extra durability, and frames are made of corrosion resistant 19 gauge stainless steel.
STITCH IT GOOD
We use heavy duty thread and pack in more stitches-per-inch (8 spi) than your average toy product (6 spi) for greater hold and tension. No loose threads ripe for the picking here!
BUILT BY HAND FROM THE GROUND UP
We designed every pattern in our workshop the traditional way. After drawing patterns to scale, we print and cut them out to make solid paper patterns that are traced onto nylon, cut, and sewn in with any pockets or trim.
By repeating and refining, we know exactly how much fabric is used, the direction they should be cut, the gauge and dimensions of our stainless steel frames, and being able to tune exactly how difficult it is to fold our nets while still maintaining great structure when open.
